Denim Tears SS26

“Libertas” Collection

For Spring/Summer 2026, Denim Tears introduces “Libertas,” a collection centered on the historical meaning of freedom. The title references Libertas, the Roman goddess of liberty, and draws specifically on the original symbolism of the Statue of Liberty — particularly the broken chains at her feet, which represent emancipation.

Designed by founder Tremaine Emory, the collection continues the brand’s ongoing exploration of African American history and its impact on American identity.

The lineup includes leather jackets with metal studs, statement outerwear, polo shirts, denim pieces, and garments featuring Denim Tears’ recognizable cotton wreath motif, alongside new graphics referencing broken chains and liberation symbolism.

“Libertas” was released in February 2026 and made available through Denim Tears’ official online store and its New York retail location.
